More Meals - Delifrance and Adobo

Chicken Adobo with Rice and Lumpia - Tasty!

This is the best soup yet! Miswu - I really think this is my favorite soup ever... or I was just in the mood!

After shopping we went to Delifrance - it's near the condo/office. Carla had pasta.

I had french dip.

Breakfast at Jollibee and Shopping at Green Hills Mall

Green Hills Mall is HUGE. You can get anything there. I got a few things for Gavin and a few things for co-workers - a cool purse for Sam (the fearless babysitter :) ), some beautiful scarves etc...

Upstairs is a ton of electronics - phones and ipods and such...

The outside of the mall...

Jollibees is like the McDonald's of The Philippines. Carla had egg, rice, and hotdog. I had BBQ chicken and Rice. Very tasty actually.

The Jolly Bee

People and Fruit

This is Charles!

Charles and Ryan came over. They brought DVDs for me to borrow and we ordered Hawaiian Pizza. So Cute!!

Rambutan - this delicious red fruit - again amazed by some of the greatness here.

I had Fina help me learn the best ways to open it.

This is Fina watching a movie on the TV.

The Super Market

While we were out Saturday we stopped at a vendor on the road and purchased some fruit. These are Lansones. They are delicious...you can eat the brown seeds but not the green seed. :)

We went to the supermarket where I got some cereal and milk (it comes in boxes on the shelf not all in the refrigerated section) some soda and crackers and cheese...

Tagaytay

Part 2 of the day... Tagaytay... it was pouring for a bit. Pouring! So I didn't take my camera to the island because I didn't want it to get ruined. I'm so bummed because by the time we got there - it stopped raining. And while I'll always remember the view from most of the way up... I can't share it...:( It let up a little and we took this boat to the island. As soon as we were loading - it dumped. Rain here is hard - and comes with amazing thunder and lightening. It's a beautiful thunderstorm.

The Plants...

There is no way I could photo every beautiful flower and post it here... and there's no way to share the smell - a little bit of heaven...
But these are some of them.

Waterfall.......

This little boy was super cute! He was soaked playing in the water. Made me miss Gavin even more!

Me, Ryan, Rey, and Carla.... the Call Center Operations -CCO- Outing!

My sweet sweet Carla. In case I haven't told you enough, Carla. I appreciate you more than I can say. Thank you for being my number one companion here. You are the BEST!!!

The water had it's own brown beauty....

After lunch under the waterfall we headed back to the beginning.

Lunch in a Waterfall.... yes IN...

At Hacienda Escudero... we were pulled over to a beautiful place...
The feast...
Pansit - this is the noodle dish - it was AMAZING, Roasted chicken, YellowSquash/Coconut/Green Bean yumminess, Caldereta - a delicious beef/potato/carrot thing, with jicama and cucumber next to it.

The walk amd the ride

Museum....

The sunshine waited for us outside... it was a gorgeous day in this tropical place....

Museum view from the top.

An interesting graphic from an old newspaper....

A picture made out of butterfly wings...

Pictures of the Daddy Long Legs - they were pretty cool.

The Museum at Hacienda Escudero

First Stop - Bathrooms! This sign was near the door and I liked it.

Second Stop - Tickets! For a package price we got tickets for a Museum Tour, Carrabeo Ride and Buffet Lunch in a waterfall.

The museum was a huge beautiful pink building. It was two stories - big and open. Inside there were all sorts of things - Catholic statues and displays, Natural History (stuffed animals etc.), Artifacts of Asian countries, displays of the fashions/dress through the centuries, War Artifacts, LOTS of things. It was nice to walk around.

Photos were not allowed inside so I only got 5....

Yes Real Bugs... there were real Butterflies... all sorts of things.
