Post 100

It really is my 100th post... and it's a boring one! I'll have to edit later...

Boring only for lack of pictures. I sent my charger to China with Steven (my brother) so I used up the battery juice I had left and now have to wait until his return to get to charge my battery and take more pictures... or buy a new one. :( Anyways, the fun stuff...
I moved into my townhouse, bought my first home YAY!
It's fabulous and I love the space.
I have a Christmas tree up and Gavin doesn't mess with it at all other then to walk right up and lean over and stare at the lights. It makes my house smell good. I'm almost done painting my room, I'm about 80% unpacked and settled. It's fun.
I'm excited for Christmas, still working on Christmas cards.
Work is going well... we're about to release again which is always exciting and stressful.
Gavin is good, has had some flu last week (ew) creating lots of laundry for me. Oh well.
He likes his puzzles and Barney... and Shamu. He still loves whales and Shamu...ever since Sea World. I'd love to go back ASAP!
Pictures to come, we're both lovely as ever, trust me! :)

Today in WA....

Hey there all... I know I've had lookers since last post, sorry so long ago!
Well, The BIG news is that I'm a homeowner! Well, Dec 1st I'm a homeowner. I bought a cute townhouse. It's in south Everett, 3 miles east is Mill Creek, 3 miles south is Lynnwood. It's in Mukilteo School District... All good things. You can check it out at this site http://www.johnlscott.com/propertydetail.aspx?GroupID=54683596&ListingID=30712444&Sort=1 and I'll post pictures of it with my stuff once I get in. There are 2 large bedrooms upstairs with a bathroom in between; the washer and dryer are up there too. Downstairs there's a bright kitchen that has a little view in to the open dining and living rooms. There's another small bathroom downstairs too. Wood stove in the living room.... and a little storage/crap room off the back. The other awesome thing is that the master bedroom upstairs has a little porch too. I can grow things and get fresh air just a few steps from my bed. Super cool. So that's the big news. Gavin is just growing and growing. He says a few code sounds (words) that help the whole communication bit. He says more and more sounds lately. My favorite word that he says is 'Why'. He says it just like a child should. Not convinced he knows what it means but we love the game. I ask him something... he says why... I answer... he says why... it's make me laugh sometimes the things that he gets me to say. Should I post an example? I'll try to make it PG... sometimes he gets crazy
Mom: Gavin do you want to go on a trip with me?
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because there are so many places to see
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because the world is friggin huge
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because God made it that way
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because He wanted it that way
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because you're special (not sure where to have gone with that last question)
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because you're mine
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because I made you
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because I wasn't thinking straight
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because I was stressed
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because people aren't always smart
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because not everyone is like you
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because they're not lucky
Gavin: Why?
Mom: Because only you have me
Ok seriously he gets some wacky answers from me and just makes me giggle. I don't think this brief example really paints the picture... but it's fun for me. I can say anything and he just smiles and says why as I giggle. Really Really funny stuff. Use your imagination.

SO... I'm packing, doing stuff, making and keeping friends, working hard, getting ready to be VERY house-poor and VERY house-happy.
Pictures and news to come... all is well.

Silly Gavin Boy

On our way to the park to play Gavin got graham crackers for snacks. When he got to take one out of the container, he realized one was just not enough. Notice the entire handful that he has to hold in his hand? The container is empty because it's all in his hand. Anyways, he's also starting to copy some words I say. This could be really fun game. Jeff was teaching him 'Yes Dear' in the car Sunday. I'm teaching him "Mom is the greatest" along with other things. He's really good at animal sounds. You know the silly 'What does a pig say?' 'What does a cow say?' stuff. He's good at that. He's getting so big and tall! Outgrowing more pants!

GO SEAHAWKS!!!!!

Ok, I know it wasn't really a big WIN since we were playing the Rams... but Brandon and I had a fun day going to the Hawks game on Sunday. I LOVE the atmosphere the national anthem shooting the players out of the cannon... and the game and the players and the people around me. Brandon's voice was more gone than mine... but we had a GREAT time.

The Visit to Spokane...

Several posts after this have more pictures of the Spokane visit... the fab 4 of us drove over to Spokane to visit my dad. Gavin and Nicholas got to play and we all had a great time. The drive over was Friday night and got a little long and I was a little tired (admittedly grumpy) but the rest of the visit and the drive home were mostly relaxing and fun. Great visit, I'll go back soon.

Playing with Grandpa in Spokane

My lucky men and boys and I got to spend lots of time at parks and wondering around. Grandpa Bill is funny.

Pictures from Spokane...

It was a perfect day to visit the trees in the park with Grandpa. It's SO good visit.

This is Brandon.....

Introducing Brandon... not many men make it on the blog... but Brandon is special. He is 6'3" with a heart of gold. My perfect combination of cheesy lovey dovey and manly loud obnoxious.

Now he can feel SUPER lucky to have made it to '''THE BLOG'''

Cleanup Time

Gavin got help cleaning

Jump Jump Jump

While blowing up the bed for sleeping, these boys got a little crazy jumping. The were SO funny jumping and laughing. Gavin had lots of fun...

TRAINS

Nicholas and Gavin had fun playing with trains (the obsession of the 4 year old :) ) who was a really good sharer. Gavin is getting so tall. If Nicholas teaches Gavin about being nice and sharing and playing together and Gavin teaches Nicholas about eating fruits and veggies then they will both be doing awesome.

How about some new pics?

Say Hi to Gavin....

And his new buddy Nicholas.....

Who is the 4 year old son of Brandon....

Gavin and Nicholas swept the kitchen floor together. It was SO SO cute!

We spent last weekend down with Brandon and Nicholas. It was great fun-other than watching the Seahawks lose...

I know, ANOTHER week....

I know, another week with no pictures in the post. I'll get to that in a couple days I'm sure! Very busy lately. Updates:
1. Still no definitive word on my offer, the seller's lender is dragging their feet: my offer has no expiration date so I'm going to try to wait it out a little longer. I am very ready to move into the new house! - - Tomorrow!
2. Gavin and I had a great trip to the zoo last week... and to Costco... and Target... and the park... and lots of other bonding activites
3. We have a trip planned to Spokane next weekend, of the 13th. And I'm going to the SEAHAWKS again with my man on the 21st to watch the RAMS get smashed by the Hawks.
So, that's the short of it. Gavin and I are happy and busy... Pictures up soon - he is growing so fast!

What's Goin On...

Haven't had many new pics to post, here are highlights of the week:
1. Made and Offer on a GREAT House! I'm SO excited... won't hear back until probably Tuesday the 25th... waiting on pins and needles (yes that's longer than normal)
2. Had great Activity Day obstacle course on Wed night, lots of fun sports and balls and active stuff - Gavin got to come and had a BLAST
3. Met up with old friend - still friends, very good.
4. Watched Gavin watch football. It's fun to do... Sunday we watched Seahawks (yes it was depressing) and he played with all his footballs... we turned on the Yankees and he got out his baseballs and plastic bat.. I love watching him learn - my boy is a sports guy - good thing!
5. Watched the Animal Alphabet video at least once a day - 45 minutes of animals and cheesy rhyming songs. Very cool --- Gavin love it anyways.
Pics of the house will be up after the offer is accepted on or before Tuesday!!! I can't wait! already thinking about colors for the living room... maybe a warm orangey peachy?

GO SEAHAWKS

Sunday we went to cheer on the SEAHAWKS while they beat Tampa Bay. GO HAWKS. I thought that the Husky game was loud... but SEAHAWKS fans are CRAZY. It was AWESOME! Gavin slept through all of the 2nd quarter... silly boy... but LOVED it as much as I did. He's so cute he always gets free stuff from people. He got 12th man buttons from a security lady and a clapper from people seated a few rows away. Again, instant friends with everyone Gavin likes to be in on the cheering and High Fiving! Such a stud. He did really well staying in one spot the whole time. Of course we were on our feet most of the time. 'seaHAAAAWKS'

(Also notice a new contusion on his forehead... Happened at the park Saturday night after the Husky game... on the sidewalk.. knees, then hands, then face. I wish he'd just fall to his knees and skip the rest. Marks of a man I suppose...)
