What's Goin On...

Haven't had many new pics to post, here are highlights of the week:
1. Made and Offer on a GREAT House! I'm SO excited... won't hear back until probably Tuesday the 25th... waiting on pins and needles (yes that's longer than normal)
2. Had great Activity Day obstacle course on Wed night, lots of fun sports and balls and active stuff - Gavin got to come and had a BLAST
3. Met up with old friend - still friends, very good.
4. Watched Gavin watch football. It's fun to do... Sunday we watched Seahawks (yes it was depressing) and he played with all his footballs... we turned on the Yankees and he got out his baseballs and plastic bat.. I love watching him learn - my boy is a sports guy - good thing!
5. Watched the Animal Alphabet video at least once a day - 45 minutes of animals and cheesy rhyming songs. Very cool --- Gavin love it anyways.
Pics of the house will be up after the offer is accepted on or before Tuesday!!! I can't wait! already thinking about colors for the living room... maybe a warm orangey peachy?

GO SEAHAWKS

Sunday we went to cheer on the SEAHAWKS while they beat Tampa Bay. GO HAWKS. I thought that the Husky game was loud... but SEAHAWKS fans are CRAZY. It was AWESOME! Gavin slept through all of the 2nd quarter... silly boy... but LOVED it as much as I did. He's so cute he always gets free stuff from people. He got 12th man buttons from a security lady and a clapper from people seated a few rows away. Again, instant friends with everyone Gavin likes to be in on the cheering and High Fiving! Such a stud. He did really well staying in one spot the whole time. Of course we were on our feet most of the time. 'seaHAAAAWKS'

(Also notice a new contusion on his forehead... Happened at the park Saturday night after the Husky game... on the sidewalk.. knees, then hands, then face. I wish he'd just fall to his knees and skip the rest. Marks of a man I suppose...)

FOOTBALL

Saturday we got to go to the HUSKY game... Huskies beat Boise. It was fabulous. Gavin is so observant. He enjoyed watching all the people around us. He makes instant friends everywhere we go. He got lots of High Fives and smiles. He was great at clapping and yelling. Gavin's a football fan too! We need to get the boy some Husky gear.

Labor Day in Oregon

Labor Day weekend we spent in Oregon with friends. We went to Tillamook Factory and Gavin ate Tillamook ice cream cone. It was really relaxing, stayed on the beach, SO beautiful. We saw wild grey whales in Depoe Bay and went to several pretty beaches... LOVE the Oregon Coast.

I can't believe Gavin is 20 months old... just 4 months from being 2! I like this picture... shows how hot it was... and how pretty... and how much Gavin loves his mom... I'm so lucky!

Cousins

It was nice to see all the cousins together again. They have grown so much over the last year! Those are Becca's 4 kids Spencer 5, Dallin 3, Allison 2, Kaitlyn 2, and Gavin 1.5.

California Trip

We stayed in Solvang, CA on the way back up to Monterrey. We visited the Ostrich Farm and fed them. Fun Stuff

Jessica wasn't really a fan of the big birds. I think she said something like they're ugly and could eat her and are mean.

Eventually we got to Monterrey and spent the first night on the beach watching the sunset. Gavin likes the sand now... refer to earlier post for his reaction to Sand last November - quite different.

Gavin wasn't really a fan of sharing his toys with the cousins. He got used to it.

SEA WORLD

We watched a lot of shows. They are GREAT!

SHAMU SHAMU

All the way at Sea World... what does Gavin do? Play in the bark... He likes bark and dirt. Such a boy!

Sea World

Gavin chilled a lot of the time in his stroller... and spent a lot of time out running and exploring. He really liked the Flamingos and the Seals. And he liked spending time with Jeff and Jessi.

SEA WORLD

Shamu Shamu We love SHAMU. Gavin still does the hand up and down call for SHAMU... LOVED it.. saw 6 Shamu shows in 2 days. Good stuff. Amazing those huge whales....

Driving through Oregon

We drove through Oregon... well I made Jessica drive through Oregon. I was fine in WA and CA but I've had bad experiences driving in Oregon, So Jessi took the honors. It was beautiful. Lots of Waterfalls and lush green and just really nice. We had fun. Jessica needs lots of hugs. We tried to give her some every day. hee hee

CALIFORNIA

California was LOVELY!! We didn't get to see or do everything and everyone we wanted or had planned to... the time just flew by. We did drive from Seattle to San Diego to Monterrey to Danville to San Jose and flew home to Seattle in 16 days. 2 FABULOUS days were spent at Sea World (my personal favorite) day at Oceanside Harbor, day at Pismo Beach, day at Solvang, week at Monterrey, on and on... Pictures forthcoming. Back at work now. Biggest shock being back: my toes seeing socks and shoes. They were in flip flop sandals for 2 weeks... even though airports and such. Sad to have to end that. Hmm it was nice.

COME ON!!!

I thought I was a Mariner good luck charm... until last night's painful display! Gavin and I kept ourselves busy dancing with all the music and practicing yelling "Come On". Granted he sounded more like "OOO AAAAA" It was still lots of fun. Thank you Aunti Jessipoo for teaching the child to yell again. YIPPEE!

Trip to the Beach... getting warmed up for CA!

There's a great little island named Jetty that is up in Everett. We went there on Saturday with the whole fandam including newly arrived Jamie (via Japan and Texas) and Steven (via Monterrey - in Air Force). Gavin and I got our toes down in the sand...

Gavin did not get the concept of the bucket for scooping... he picked up sand and put it in the bucket... Sandy Sandy boy... Much better reaction then last time if you remember...

It was so sunny and warm - WAY nicer than I thought... the sound is so shallow that the ocean water is very warm for a long way out... reminds me of Lake Tahoe with how shallow it is for so long... but this water was actually probably warmer - Weird. Tahoe trip July 2008 looking forward to it!
